2009, the 41st tournament held at HarbourTown Golf Links
and the Sea Pines Resort was a huge success and a history maker . . .
Brian Gay won the tournament by a record 10 strokes
with a winning score of 64, an amazing 20-under setting a new tournament record previously held by Loren Roberts who in 1996 shot 19-under. Gay's four-round total of 264 is a new 72-hole tournament record.
Second place was shared by players Luke Donald and Briny Baird. This years purse, a record $ 5.7M SAVE THE DATES - 2010 Verizon Heritage will be held April 12 - 18, 2010. |
